The Left’s Assault On Free Speech

Imagine, if you will, a Denial Of Service attack on George Soros’ Open Society Institute (Orwell would love this name). Would the lefties be sitting, mute, taciturn at their voices being squelched? Would they be pleased? The Americans for Prosperity , an activist organization on the Right, has been fighting against a non-stop Denial Of Service attack by leftist goons intent on silencing the organization and their supporters. Eric Cantor: Cutting Spending Will Grow the Economy

Image P10804371-300x225.jpg

By Rep. Eric Cantor February 26, 2011 America is at a tipping point, and Republicans have begun to take action. Last week, the House passed unprecedented legislation reducing discretionary spending this fiscal year by more than $100 billion. In addition, we made clear that our long-term budget, to be unveiled in the spring, will address the entitlement crisis that threatens to bankrupt our country – a long overdue move that politicians for too long have kicked down the road. This show of fiscal restraint represents not merely a clean break with Congress’ free-spending past, but a rededication to economic growth and a laser-like focus on job creation [...]

Obama and Democrats Destroy Mitt Romney

Image HvE2ND-HvdU

If there was any question on who the Democrat’s perceive as the biggest threat to defeat Barack Obama in the 2012 election, look no further. Mitt Romney has risen to the top in several of the early polls, so the Democrats have evidently circulated the “Get Mitt” memo (Unlike Republicans supporting anyone but Maii with the “Keep your Mitts off my Health Care). The Democrats usual M.O. is to demonize the opposition. President Obama threw the first stone when he said: I agree with Mitt Romney, who recently said he’s proud of what he accomplished on health care in Massachusetts and said he supports giving states the power to determine their own health care solutions, And Romney did, indeed, make that statement. The Leadership Vacuum

Image imagebutton.gif

The order in the Middle East has been crumbling, but it seems that the only place President Barack Obama knows where to lead is on the dance floor or when ramming through his socialist programs. When it comes to real solutions to fix the economy or on foreign policy he is utterly lost.   When students rose up against the mullahs in Iran, the Obama administration was strangely silent while demonstrators were murdered in the streets.  But Israel is condemned at the drop of a hat. When the Mubarak regime started to wobble so did the president’s position, for Mubarak, against Mubarak, for Mubarak, against Mubarak. [...]

Home Values Drop 91.48% According To US News And World Report

Image rats.jpg

Home Values Plunged 91.48% … or that is what you might believe if you were unfortunate enough to trust the journalism standards of Yahoo! Finance. In what can only be described as gross negligence, Yahoo! published an article from US News and World Report on what it felt was the top 10 bargain retirement spots in the US. According to this work of fiction, Tallahassee is the 2nd best city for retirees to buy a home because our home values dropped “91.48%”  between 2009 and 2010. In her story from 2/22/2011, Emily Brandon states Housing prices are declining fastest in Portland, Ore. (-92 percent), Tallahassee, Fla. [...]

Lets Get Virginia Moving Again

Image 72n_D0ZBhvk

Guest Post by Hanover Resident Rudy Burgess As a citizen, homeowner and business owner in Hanover County, I noted with great interest Governor Bob McDonnell’s proposal of the Omnibus Transportation Funding Bill in the Senate and House of Delegates this session.  Notably, the Governor has a broad bipartisan coalition of co-patrons, including Delegates Chris Peace (R-Hanover) and John Cox (R-Hanover) and Senator Ryan McDougle (R-Hanover) with nearly half of the entire Senate body signed up to sponsor the bill, including 5 Democrats. I am encouraged that the Bill will bring new roads and infrastructure that have been long delayed to every region of the State.  Now that we are coming out of a recession, this Bill will create much needed jobs, and infuse money into crumbling roads and bridges with projects from the shores of Hampton Roads to the busy corridors of Northern Virginia and the vital transportation arteries across our Blue Ridge Mountains! Specifically, the Governor’s Bill is a comprehensive transportation plan, including projects from widening I-66 in/out of the Beltway to building a new Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel and completing the Coalfields Expressway. Using its AAA bond rating and capitalizing on low construction costs and interest, the state is also in the enviable position of being able to accelerate bonds that were approved in 2007. Passage of this jobs and roads plan will represent one of the most significant investments in state infrastructure. Recent administrations have played politics, moved too slowly and made too many excuses for not finding ways to make transportation a priority and get projects done!  It’s time to end grid-lock and get people and businesses moving again in Virginia! WESTMINSTER by-ELECTION COMING UP in BARNSLEY CENTRAL; UKIP HAS a HOPEFUL!

Image AE0nkD_yN_A

There is another by-election for the British Parliament coming up on Thursday, March 3.  It’s in the coal-mining district and has been a safe district for Labour.  The Labour MP, Eric Illsley was convicted of expenses fraud and resigned his seat.  The Tories are almost a minor party here and the BNP received 8% of the vote in the last election, twice the votes of the UKIP. Here is the list of the major (and several of the minor) candidates.  The UKIP candidate is Jane Collins.  She is clearly the best candidate but it will be a long shot to win.  We’ll see on March 3; perhaps the UKIP will beat out the BNP again. ONE MILLION DOLLARS! PRAISE GOD – THAT’S the WEEKEND ESTIMATE on the GRACE CARD!

Image L8fiHitlMK8

Wow!  Praise God!  ONE MILLION DOLLARS in its first weekend!  In spite of only a handful of theatres compared to the major flicks out this weekend, The Grace Card earned an estimated $1,040,000 based on the studio estimates compiled at Box Office Mojo. That is great and we can see that as it is released to more cities, The Grace Card can continue to reach out, glorify Christ, and make a few dollars as well.  Of course the real reward we’ll not see before heaven – changed lives, salvations and holy living.  (For how to get to heaven, go here !) Remember, what a lost and dying world needs is not a Hall Pass but a Grace Card! DONNA HOLT COMING to MECHANICSVILLE to SPEAK on AGENDA 21!

Image dEk5bNxMn_g

Donna Holt, Virginia State Chairman of the Campaign for Liberty and personal hero of mine, is coming to speak to the Mechanicsville Tea Party (my tea party group!) on a subject near and dear to my heart:  Agenda 21. As you know, I have blogged on ICLEI, which is the local government confederation dedicated to promoting so-called climate change, radical environmental agendas and other political issues (See their Charter 1.7 for those – they include abortion, socialistic solutions to human poverty, such things as “health care” as a right, political correctness and propaganda for our kids) at international fora throughout the world.  it is patently unconstitutional and clearly unwise for any American town, city or county to be a member of ICLEI but over 600 or them including about two dozen in the Commonwealth are members of ICLEI.  (But praise God at least one is NOT:  Carroll County, MD, a community that withdrew from it this January.) Agenda 21 is the designs of those ICLEI are allied with.  It’s bad UN (my readers are clear on what this means!) law or policy.  I encourage all my readers to come out and hear Donna talk about the threat of Agenda 21 and what Hanover can do about it.  It is Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 7pm at 8493 New Bethesda Road, in Mechanicsville. Gov. Walker: compromise with unions is to allow more out of control spending

The measure of a governor, is to see how they do under pressure, and whether they stick to their principles. He is sticking to his deal and will not compromise. [...]

Add Sexually Harassing Minors To The List Of Tactics Used By Union Thugs

In the last week, Democrat and liberal allied labor unions are getting away with assault, racism, anti-gay slurs, physical assaults on women, because they know the lapdogs in the media will cover for them. Now you can add sexually harassing a minor to the list. This latest example of Union Thuggery happened yesterday in Jefferson City, MO, as a young 17 year old was passing out copies of the US [...]
