This is just breaking from Cry Liberty, via Rebel Pundit (h/t Kim Hedum on Twitter). THIS (photo of a sign asking for no videotaping) is what was taped to the front door of the room where the public meeting, hosted by a public figure, in a public building, funded bypublic tax dollars. (This was at the Oak Bend Library Branch in Kirkwood, MO) Now, at first, I had assumed it was because they did [...]

Amazing. Read down to Allen West’s rejoinder. Absolute moral authority combined with an absolute slam. The black lobby has always muddied what they considered racism — is racism actually racism, or is “racism” simply opposing the black political left’s laundry… [...]
Just days after a report that the UK Department of Health plans to create a new system of “independent” pre-abortion counseling, an undercover investigation of the counseling afforded by abortion providers and crisis pregnancy centers reveals the powerful impact of pre-abortion counseling. “As for me, the advice I received couldn’t have been more disparate. But [...]
How’s that for the “model for green business success?” President Obama visited the solar company Solyndra on May 26, 2010 to tout his $535 million loan guarantee. [...]
Adult stem cells are safe as well as feasible for treatment of stroke in patients, according to the published results of a ground-breaking Phase I trial from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Kind of a recurring theme in the Obama administration, we’ll tell you what’s good for your economy. And if we decide your acquisition of T-Mobile is “bad for America”, we don’t have a problem at all forcing your commitment to… [...]
Ok! So that’s not exactly the language he used, but Speaker Boehner did respond to President Obama’s request to convene a joint session of Congress on September [...]
President Obama scheduled his upcoming speech about jobs, jobs, jobs, for Wednesday, September 7, giving very short notice to Congress. As it turns out, that’s also the night the Republicans had scheduled their debate , months ahead of time. That the short notice demand for a Joint Session of Congress was anything other than junior high level one-upmanship was dispelled today when the zero gravity press secretary, Jay Carney, compared the scheduled GOP debate at the Reagan Library with a “wildlife show. ” The President appears to have miscalculated, or forgotten that he had to request authorization to address the country from the House of Representatives. Speaker Boehner’s response? [...]
The government of Prime Minister David Cameron says it will oppose an amendment to a health by MP Nadine Dorries to stop the biased counseling in favor of abortion done at abortion centers that received taxpayer funds. Very good (at least, it’s interesting) piece on the Palin/O’Donnell confusion in Indianola from ABCNews. It gets at a point I was just making to Russ From Winterset in emails: Many people find it charming and authentic that Palin is… [...]
**Written by Doug Powers President Obama must have been pretty impressed with the quality of the lobster Brian Roberts served on the Vineyard, because his spokesman Jay Carney has graciously given NBC permission to move the start time of the GOP debate next Wednesday. This would be so the Republican debate isn’t in direct conflict with the president’s “jobs speech” that just now happens to have been scheduled for the exact same time. According to Carney, the scheduling is just a coincidence (he really should serve fries with those whoppers). However, the network says the start time of the GOP debate won’t be changed : NBC News has confirmed that the Republican presidential debate will go on as scheduled despite President Obama’s request to address a joint session of Congress about his jobs plan at the same time. “One debate of many that’s on one channel of many was not enough of a reason” to pick another date, Carney said [...]
It is with heavy heart that I report that Jane Jamison, a friend and fellow CPAC blogger has passed away. Jane Jamison is a pseudonym adopted by this conservative stalwart who lived ‘behind enemy lines’ in uber-liberal San Francisco. Jane has edited Uncoverage.net for several years and was always on the cutting edge of any story. I have nominated posts from Jane several times during my time as a Council Member with the Watcher of Weasels Council and I am happy to say she has done well in the rankings. [...]
Charles Martin gives some reasons why he’s skeptical of Global Warming. It’s a decent read which includes some killer quotes I’m dying to share with you. All modeling efforts will inevitably converge on the result most likely to lead to… [...]
Nicola Riley, an embattled abortion practitioner who has lost her medical license in Maryland already, has admitted to lying to Utah officials when it comes to her own record as a physician there. Riley has already been banned from doing abortions in Utah after pro-life advocates exposed her record and she voluntarily surrendered her Wyoming [...]
Shameless. The ground zero mosque, called Park 51, has applied for a $5 million grant of federal funds from the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. The Corporation, set up to rebuild lower Manhattan after 9-11 is actively considering the grant request…. [...]
If Virginians needed a reminder of what a schmuck Tim Kaine is, they need look no further than his most recent fundraising letter. Here is what Kaine had to say about the recent earthquake and hurricane: Two natural disasters – a hurricane and an earthquake – hit Virginia in the past week. Millions lost their power, and countless individuals lost their homes as the floodwaters wreaked havoc on so many of Virginia’s towns and cities. But instead of coming together to provide relief for those who need it, Congressional leaders are holding emergency victims hostage in order to pursue a narrow ideological agenda. [...]
In the days following Hurricane Irene, many New Yorkers are still cleaning up the mess. The aftermath of the storm, while not as bad as originally predicted, [...]
Good piece on the danger of raising expectations. The current squabble over the timing will elevate this speech’s importance. Can Obama rise to that challenge? Um… [...]

Now that both Hugo Chavez is sick, and Fidel’s also in not-good-shape, the rumors are flying regarding the health of both dictators. Via Zoe Valdes , Runrunes website in Spain asks, ¿Enfermedad de Fidel obligó a Chávez a quedarse en Caracas?, Did Fidel Castro’s illness force Chavez to stay in Caracas? The article explains that the rumor is that Fidel Castro recently became very ill, fell into a coma, from which he recovered, while Chavez was in Caracas. However, this week Castro’s condition worsened and is under intensive care by the physician(s) which would otherwise have attended Chavez. Therefore, Chavez had to stay in Venezuela for his third round of chemo (while not revealing the type of cancer) [...]
